Dating as far back as the 1500's, ballet is a highly technical form of dance that uses french terminology for its vocabulary. Ballet requires years of training to learn and master and much practice to retain proficiency. Ballet often consists of choreography combined with music. Many performances are accompanied by classical music and utilize elaborate costumes and staging. If you've never seen a ballet, you're missing out on an elegantly beautiful art form.

Metropolitan Ballet Theatre (MBT) trains young dancers in the art of classical ballet and promotes excellence based on the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
