LIVE Painting Artist

In partnership with the Alpharetta Symphony, Arts Alpharetta is hosting an Open Call for Artists to LIVE PAINT at their concert, Tango for Two, on May 16, 2026 at Union Hill Park. Artists will paint live  outdoors under an open-air shelter as audience members participate in live tango lessons and through the duration of the concert. 

Artworks will be available for sale through Arts Alpharetta. Artwork should reflect the movement, rhythm, music and spirit of the concert, capturing these magical and inspirational moments.
Artists with live painting and/or en plein air experience preferred.

​As our nation approaches its 250th anniversary of our Declaration of Independence, we celebrate our history. Covering two national holidays, artists are invited to express their interpretations, experiences, and reflections of our collective journey. All media welcome.

Voces del Corazón – Art from the Soul     
​The Alpharetta Arts Center proudly calls artists to share their creations in Voces del Corazón, a juried exhibition dedicated to amplifying heartfelt stories, memories, and visions rooted deeply within the Hispanic and Latino experience. Through art, we express what words often cannot: emotions, traditions, dreams, and truths. We welcome submissions in all styles and media, from traditional to contemporary, that reflect personal journeys, emotional authenticity, cultural pride, and the powerful voices at the core of our community. Share your artwork and join us in honoring the spirit and soul of Hispanic heritage.

Open call for PUBLIC ART: DAZZLE AND DISCORD

The opportunity to enter is open to all professional visual artists, aged 18 and older. Each applicant may enter up to three (3) artworks; artists are allowed to add up 2 additional views for each sculpture in each entry . This call for art is for preexisting works only. All entries must have been conceived and created by the artist submitting the work.

Outdoor sculpture entries must fill these requirements: 
  • maximum weight of 1600 lbs
  • minimum of 4 anchor points
  • engage viewer through sight, sound, and/or touch
  • constructed and prepared for outdoor, year-round weather exposure
  • maintenance plan for 2-year lease period for weather and wear
Arts Alpharetta will incur the cost of installation at each site. Concrete wedge anchors with a minimum shear rating of 4000 lbs will be used at installation.
