This is the concept of dualism, opposite meanings from the same concept that can complement each other. Is the beauty of the rose
found in the flower or the thorns? We are all interconnected to each other and give rise and fall through interactions. There is a natural juxtaposition of these two elements to every side of our thinking; the creative arts often expose to us the dichotomy of emotions within us. So, bring us your contradictions, your enigmas, your conundrums, your unsolved puzzles that expose you to our audience that isn’t here to judge you. But conversely are looking for deeper meaning within us that may come to light through your creative works. |

Open Call for Artists for Love & Light, an “pop-up” art exhibit in conjunction with the Alpharetta Symphony concert, Love and Light.
With inspiration from the Alpharetta Symphony: Keep the love going with another date night after Valentine’s Day. This February, your sweetheart will be thrilled with a selection of lighthearted, yet tender, staples of classical music. Once the first chords hit you, you’ll recognize these tunes, although the names may not be as familiar. Featuring the heart-wrenching Pavane by Ravel, the joyous “Can-Can” from Orpheus in the Underworld, and the ultimate musical representation of true, unabashed love - Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet. Artists are invited to submit only ONE 2-dimensional artwork with maximum size including frame, mount, or mat of 24" in any direction. Media welcomed; pencil, marker, watercolor, acrylic, oil, gouache, or tempera paint, pastels, pen and ink, print-making techniques, and fiber art. Sorry...no photography or digital design; no giclees or reproductions, please. Entries will be juried upon delivery. Some may be rejected upon entry based on content, size, or quality of presentation. |
