Power of the Print! The saying might be that “print is dead” but printmaking is certainly alive and well in Alpharetta, Georgia! This exhibition is looking to showcase the best of traditional printmaking from the region and beyond. Do you love the sound of rolling out ink? The touch of a fine sheet of paper? The feeling of carving wood or linoleum? The smell of a fresh can of ink? Or the joy of pulling up the paper for that first print from a new block? Then this might be the show for you!
Only traditional printmaking processes will be accepted. No digital reproductions, giclee prints, AI art, or otherwise. Exclusively, hand pulled traditional analog prints. Examples of acceptable processes include: woodcut, linocut, screen-printing, lithography, intaglio, collagraph, monoprinting, letterpress, book arts and papermaking.
