In partnership with the City of Alpharetta's Cultural Services, Arts Alpharetta hosted an open call for 'Black & White.' Pastel pink, robin's egg blue, forest green, daisy yellow, neon brights, colors of the rainbow...how many stunning colors does the universe contain? And yet...what can compare to the stark beauty and the utter simplicity of a black and white color scheme? Artists will be exhibiting monochromatic artworks in all media created in black and white that showcase strong visual presence, light and shadow, or contrast. Monochromatic drawing, pen and ink, charcoal, photography, print-making, graphic design encouraged. |

ON THE FARM EXHIBITION DATES: FEBRUARY 1 - MARCH 18 Living in an urban setting, our lives are a constant hustle and bustle of activity. The landscape of our towns has certainly evolved from a rural setting to modern suburbia. Artists are invited to share their vision, memory and/or history of those things that represent 'Down Home on the Farm.' Folk art to fine art welcomed in all media. |
COLOR AND LIGHTDecember 7, 2022 - January 28, 2023
The Alpharetta Arts Center, in partnership with Arts Alpharetta, hosts Color and Light, a gallery exhibition featuring 3 artists in the Atlanta area: Eric Albright, Peter Ho, and Denise Jennings. Each of these artists is masterful at capturing color and light through moving and inspirational techniques in their individual media. While each has a unique style, viewers will find commonalities in their grand and refined interpretations of color and light in our world. |

This exhibit showcases the creativity of Georgia's very own talented Indian artists, who hope to break down barriers and foster intercultural understanding and appreciation for the Indian culture. But there is a new national holiday that resides within a category all its own. That holiday - Juneteenth - honors June 19, 1865’s “General Order No. 3” which informed the slaves in Texas (the last to be notified) that they were free. |
Paint the Town5-day, Annual Artist Invitational May 17-21, 2022 Artists painting live and on site at well-known locations throughout Alpharetta including downtown as well as City parks, gardens and more. Multiple opportunities to purchase original art created on site during the event and exhibition. Proceeds from the event directly fund two Arts Alpharetta initiatives: the ongoing public art program and “Take Out Art” which supplies free art kits to children in need in our community. |
