LETICIA BERNADAC was born and raised in Durango, Mexico. She is a graduate from Aalto School of Economics, Finland with a degree in Business Administration. Finland became her new home for over a decade leading to her journeying to Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Chile, and finally the United States. Bernadac has been a Milton resident since 2005.
The unique knowledge and experiences she gained from those different cultures made her rethink her true passion for art. Upon settling in Georgia, Bernadac decided to take up the mantle of painting and continued taking art lessons and attending workshops at different locations around Metro Atlanta. Seeking a formal art education she applied and was accepted at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts in Kymenlaakso E. Repin in Kotka, Finland that focused on classical art with daily work in the areas of painting, drawing, plastic anatomy, perspective, the technology of painting, and composition. Bernadac graduated with her art degree in 2011.
Ms. Bernadac’s works are in a wide variety of mediums including watercolor, pastel/charcoal, encaustic, but her true passion is oil. She specializes in Portraiture, Landscapes and Still lifes. She does commissioned work in any subject and is incorporating sculpture to her repertoire which will be seen in her coming exhibitions.
Leticia Bernadac's love of nature and exciting colors are seen in her paintings. She has a simple but classical approach to painting; her work strives to express a feeling of cultural importance, emotion, and movement; as seen in her Matador series. With a rich palette and a broad use of layers, Leticia continues to use traditional methods on her art. “I love the full employment of all the emotional capacities of color”, she says.
Leticia’s paintings currently hang in private collections throughout the U.S. and Finland. www.LeticiaBernadacArt.com

SANDRA BARTH grew up in the midwest with a deep love for horses and art. Her school papers were often illustrated with horse drawings in the margins and her fondest memories were visits to her grandparent’s home—close to pastures of small urban farms. Sandra earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The Center for Creative Studies in Detroit. She has participated in exhibitions at Art on the Green, The Scarab Club (Michigan) and Gallery V (Georgia). Ms. Barth has also studied sculpture, drawing, painting and photography at Birmingham Bloomfield Art Association, The Studio at Long Grove, Spruill Art Center and others.
A resident of Alpharetta, GA since 1995, Sandra often visits horse shows, breeding farms and race tracks (a favorite being Keeneland in Lexington, KY) for inspiration. In addition to equine art, Ms. Barth is interested in expressing the human figure—typically on a romantic or nostalgic level. A number of Sandra’s works are now in private collections.
During his years as a resident of Alpharetta, MICHAEL BUCHANAN has been involved in several artistic endeavors. Whether it’s novels, screenplays or paintings, his work has been read or seen by fans around the world. Michael Buchanan co-authored the novel The Fat Boy Chronicles with Diane Lang. The book won the National Parenting Publication’s Gold Award and Mom’s Choice Award of Excellence. Schools around the nation use the novel in their anti-bullying and childhood obesity efforts. Buchanan visits schools to initiate discussion about issues facing today’s teens. He has spoken at international, national and local conferences along with being a guest on many TV and radio shows interested in his works.
Buchanan also wrote the screenplay for the award-winning feature film The Fat Boy Chronicles. Upon its release, the film rose to #6 family rental in Redbox while being featured on the shelves at Wal-Mart, Blockbuster and on Netflix. Millions of fans around the world have seen the film.
The authors won the New York Champions of Character in Literature Award for the impact of their work.
Buchanan was lead writer for Spiral Bound, a feature documentary about the importance of the arts in education, and Nature Matters, a documentary focused on the consequences of the current generation’s lack of interaction with the great outdoors.
Buchanan and his co-author’s latest book, Stealing First, tells the true story of Teddy Kremer, a Down syndrome young man who won the hearts of players and fans when he became batboy for the Cincinnati Reds. To Buchanan’s delight, the book is now sold at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
Many of Buchanan’s acrylic paintings featuring the rustic South are in galleries and homes around the region. He believes each of us are creative, we just have to have the determination to find out which path leads to our talent.
